Socialist : Mulayam Singh Yadav - Netaji Ki Rajnitik Jeevan (Paperback, Frank Huzur)
Hailed as the Son of the Soil, Dhartiputra, the personality of Mulayam Singh Yadav', a fierce warrior of the socialist movement, had been that of an adorable mass leader. Although he earned the wrath of the elitist section of society for his uncompromising stand during his first term as Utrar Pradesh CM , Mulayam Singh Yadav was least bothered by the villainous moniker, such as "Mullah-Mulayam" hurled upon him by his diehard critics. As a defense minister of India, , he became a darling of soldiers and his tough decisions rattled both China and Pakistan. If Mulayam was ever soft it was about his affinity for the farmers, labourers, unemployed youth, small traders and the marginalized section of the Hindi heartland where he ruled with iron fist and velvet glove. Very few politicians have been gifted with the elephant-like memory. Chaudhary Charan Singh, gave Mulayam the title of 'Little Napoleon'.
