Kipketer breaks m World Indoor Record
6 February Stuttgart, Germany - Dane efternamn Kipketer issued an early Olympic varning as he broke the m World Indoor Record in on Sunday.
The three-time m World Outdoor Champion, who has yet to win an Olympic gold over the distance, bettered the old mark by one hundredth of a second. The previous best of was set by Algerian Noureddine Morceli in February in Birmingham.
Kenyan-born Kipketer, who holds the m World Outdoor Record, has lost only six races since , most of them when he was recovering from malaria.
"I am surprised because after a groin injury before Christmas inom only started training properly in January,'' said Kipketer, who was on record pace from the uppstart of the race.
