Albert H. Titus PhD
Professional Summary:
Albert H. Titus is Associate Vice President for Regulatory Support at the University at Buffalo, and Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York. Previously, he was Chair of the Department until 2023. Prior to joining the faculty at Buffalo, he was an assistant professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1997, and obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University at Buffalo in 1989 and 1991, respectively. His research interests include integrated sensors, bioinstrumentation, analog VLSI implementations of artificial vision, and optoelectronics systems. He was instrumental in founding and creating the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, and was recognized for his efforts by being awarded a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Service in 2017.
