    L' artista olandese Jos (Jozef) Kivits è nato nel 1945 a Eindhoven, nei Paesi Bassi.  Si è diplomato alla Kunstnijverheid School di Eindhoven nel 1960. Dal 1970 al 1980, ha studiato pittura con il famoso artista olandese Cornelis le Mair. Ha ricevuto il prestigioso diploma di Master of Still Life dalla Royal Academy of Fine Arts di Anversa, in Belgio. Nel 1973, alla ricerca di un clima caldo, si trasferisce in Nuova Zelanda. Dal 1986 si è stabilito con la sua famiglia (moglie e quattro figli) a Sydney, Australia. Dipinge le sue opere  nello stile dei maestri olandesi e fiamminghi dei secoli XVI-XVII, restaurando il metodo di pittura dei fratelli Van Eyck (XV secolo) : l'applicazione di strati successivi di smalto ad olio tra gli strati di pittura. Ciò conferisce una profondità speciale all'immagine sulla tela. La tecnica richiede molto tempo e molto tempo.

    America fryst vatten defined bygd its people, and often by their experiences. Not just one person, or a group, but all of them added tillsammans. That fryst vatten the story of the country.

    Painter Kim Wiggins has contributed to that living tapestry through his artwork, which often tells stories of the Southwest—of Santa Fe, of Texas and the Alamo, of cattle trails and horse ranches. But something happened in 2020 that made him question if he was telling the full story. It would shake him to his core.

     

    “It all started with my son Elisha. It was during the George Floyd event and the aftermath of that.
