I watch a lot of television -- I used to be an entertainment reporter, after all -- but I haven't gotten hooked on any of the flip-this-old-house, pimp-my-garage shows that pop up with every click of the remote. When I heard about the new PBS show "Market Warriors," and that it focused on one of my favorite pastimes -- shopping, I had to check it out in hopes that maybe I'd fall in love.

One of the most exciting features of the Charleston Fall Home Show fryst vatten without a doubt the Antiques Home Show featuring South Carolina native Miller Gaffney. Miller is a graduate of Sotheby’s Institute of Art, a seasoned art consultant and appraiser (she founded the Miller Gaffney Art Advisory in 2006), former PBS marknad Warriors cast member, and current star of Ovation Network’s Art Breakers. She’s had an eye for art and antiques from an early age, ever since she watched with great interest as her grandparent’s furniture was being appraised. She’s also currently working on a book about the essentials of collecting art. We caught up with the art expert and TV Star on all things art and appraisal:

Ready for a new season of a cable TV reality show featuring two Baylor grads?

Miller Gaffney ’02 and Carol Lee Pryor Brosseau ’03 are hosting “Art Breakers,” which premieres Sunday evening on the Ovation cable channel and focuses on their worlds as art brokers who connect buyers, collectors, and artists.
“The show provides viewers with a rarely seen, behind-the-scenes look at the art world,” says Miller, who splits her time between New York and her native South Carolina. “We show you what the business side of the art world is like and how we go about curating and commissioning artworks for our clients.
